We love talking about our maps!  Here are some common questions that we've gotten about our products:

How do you make your prints?

We use OpenStreetMaps to create the map grid, and then use some styling to color in the streets, land, and water.  Once we pick a city, we try to put the downtown in the center, but are flexible depending on how the map grid/shoreline looks.  Then, we use the map and put it on a poster in photoshop, where we add the city name.  It's a lot of fun staring at cities from all over the world!

What are they made from?

The posters are made from a museum quality matte paper, and Ultrachrome ink.  The ink is rated to last over 100 years, and 200 years if properly framed and maintained.  The matte paper is very thick and looks great.  After printing, the posters are then rolled in issue paper and put in a cardboard tube to protect them while shipping.  The pillows are made from polyester, and the phone cases from a protective plastic.

What different products do you have?

We want you to show off your city in a number of different ways!  We have map posters, pillows, phone cases, and more!  We're always adding new products, so if you don't see something listed, send us a message and we can chat.

Where are they made?

All of our products are printed in the USA in Los Angeles, CA.

How long do they take to make?

Generally, it's 3-5 days from the time you place your order to get through printing, packing, and shipping.  Everything is made to order, so we appreciate your patience while we make a one of a kind print just for you.  Sometimes, during busier seasons, it can take up to 7 days to process orders.

What is your return policy?

Because everything is printed to order, we cannot accept returns.  If there is an issue with your order, such as damage or it's lost, we're happy to replace it at no additional cost.  Incorrect information doesn't qualify as a return, as we don't change the information you enter on the print.

I don't see my city, can you make it?

We've got over 500 cities listed, but we know we're just scratching the surface.  If you want a custom city, shoot us a message and we can talk about making your city.

I have a different design in mind, do you do custom work?

Sure!  We can turn the maps into any color or style, just let us know what color and city you're looking to have done and we can make it for you.

Do they make great gifts?

Of course!  Our art makes a great gift for everyone, especially the person that has everything.

What is the processing time?

Our processing time is usually 3-5 business days, but sometimes framed items, custom items, and canvas prints take a little more time. We make everything from scratch so we ask for patience while creating your order!

Will you send a proof before purchase?

Unfortuntately, we're unable to do that. We're a small store and we are unable to do any customizations before an order is placed.

Will you call the shipping company on my behalf?

No, we're sorry, but we're unable to call the shipping company on your behalf. We have a small staff and all of your tracking information is included when the order is shipped, so we ask that you call the shipping provider with any questions. If there's a major issue, such as a lost package, please contact us and we'll help with a reshipment.

What if it's shipped to the wrong address?

If the address was sent to the wrong place due to our error, we will ship one out and pay the cost. If it's due to your mistake, we will have to create a new one for you and ship it out, and we charge 50% of the item cost + shipping for this.

Can I change the shipping address?

We will accept address changes within 1 business day of your purchase. If your request comes after that, we will try out best, but we can't guarantee that the address will be changed.

What if my item has incorrect information on it?

If it's due to a mistake entering the information, we will correct the problem and ship to you at a 50% off price + shipping.  We do not change the information that's entered into the system, so please double check the date and information you've entered on the print before checking out.

What if the item arrives damaged or is lost in the mail? 

We are happy to replace any item that has been lost in the mail or arrives damaged, simply send us photos of the damage and we will get a new one printed and shipped for you! 

What if the item is marked as delivered and I can't find it?

If for some reason it's marked as delivered by the shipping company and you don't have it, we will reprint one at 50% off.


For International packages, who pays duties/taxes?

We ship lots of packages to different countries, and we can't be sure what the duties and taxes are for every shipment.  If there are any applied to your package, they are the responsibility of the buyer.
